In 1912, William Howard Taft served as President, the Titanic sank and a lovely, spacious residence was built by Ira and Ella Hoover in Waynesboro, Pennsylvania.  On September 28, 2005, this same stately Colonial Revival mansion opened as the 1912 Hoover House, a casually-elegant restaurant serving extraordinary American cuisine in Waynesboro’s Historic Town Center.  Open every day but Tuesday, the 1912 Hoover House serves lunch and dinner in three intimate, period-appointed dining rooms and a twelve-seat, full-service tavern.  Weather permitting, dining is also available on the restaurant’s wrap-around, front porch.  Come and enjoy friends and family away from the stresses of daily life.  Your hosts, John & Barb Persun, are dedicated to making your visit a most enjoyable and memorable occasion.
